Flying Thrones 1.1 has a number of improvements over version 1.0.
o The ugly bands of black caused by sync problems have been eliminated.
o The thrones randomly accelerate and move faster for a while.
o The thrones now go in a number of different directions, potentially
flying anywhere on the screen.
o Color images of the thrones are used when running in any non-monochrome
resolution.
o You can now rename THRONES.EXT to THRONES.PRG and run it as a demo
program.
o Image Swap has been updated, with a number of options and the ability
to use up to 8 frames of animation. See IMG_SWAP.TXT for more info.
Flying Thrones 1.1 requires Warp 9 v3.80 in order to function fully. If
you don't have Warp 9 v3.80, you can still check out Flying Thrones by
running it as a program (even if you don't have Warp 9 at all). Simply
change the extension from EXT to PRG (or just run it from a program like
HotWire without changing its name). It will give you up to five minutes
of viewing in demo mode, allowing you to explore its features.
When you first run it, you'll see the animated screen of Flying Thrones.
Click the left mouse button to get to the Configuration options. Then
select Test to view any changes you make to the speed or number of
objects.
This package also includes Image Swap and some sample IMG files. You can
experiment with Image Swap and create alternate versions of Flying Thrones
which will also work as demos (without Warp 9 v3.80).
Or course, the true beauty of Flying Thrones is in using it with Warp 9 as
a screensaver. Warp 9 sells for $44.95 retail. You can buy it at your
favorite dealer (make sure to ask for version 3.80) or directly from
CodeHead Technologies.
A press release documenting the many new features in Warp 9 v3.80 has been
distributed through the electronic media. Owners of previous versions of
Warp 9 can upgrade to v3.80 by sending their original disk, $25 for the
upgrade, plus $3 shipping (4$ Canada, $6 overseas) to:
